Lublin is the ninth largest city in Poland and the second largest city of Lesser Poland, with a thriving cultural and academic scene. It is the capital and the center of Lublin Voivodeship with a population of 349,103. Lublin is the largest Polish city east of the Vistula River. That said, it’s not a looker, (it was well and truly hit with the "ugly" stick (ravaged) during WWII and the forced industrialization of the communist period added insult to injury. Nevertheless, the city’s historic core, the Rynek, is slowly being gentrified, and trendy clubs and restaurants are giving new luster to the old town's impressive stock of Renaissance and baroque town houses. Lublin is of special interest to travelers seeking Poland’s Jewish past. For centuries the city was a leading centre of Jewish scholarship, giving rise to Lublin’s nickname the ‘Jewish Oxford’. That heritage came to a brutal end in WWII, but here and there you can still find traces. Tourist Information
There are 7 (but only 5 open as of Jan 2026) breweries (Jan 2026) in the city so lets start with them:
Browar Zakładowy, PLAC TEATRALNY 1
Open: Tue-Sun 15.00 - 00.00
Tap room for one of the best Polish craft breweries, that also has guest beers on from other great breweries from Poland and abroad. A great location in the city with a nice clean modern interior (similar to Warsaw Artezan) with a good atmosphere and affordable prices. No food served but you can take food in from the restaurant next door. One of if not the best place for a beer in Lublin.
Restauracja Browar Lublin, Krakowskie Przedmieście 7, 20-002 Lublin
Open: Daily 12.00 - 12.00
A very nice restaurant/brewery located on the old Royal Route, leading from the Castle, through Lublin's Old Town and the promenade. A restaurant whose greatest asset is its own microbrewery. From the moment you enter, you can smell the aroma of hops and malt, see the vats, and discover how the golden beverage is made. While in Lublin, you can't miss the pleasure of sampling the beer brewed on-site. Its in a stylish old tenement in the middle of the Pedestrian Zone and has three floors The ground floor is the HONEY hall. Here is the brewery were they brew their beers. This is also the site of the main bar, connected directly to the production line, where you can sample fresh, unpasteurised beer. Comfortable leather chairs and an inspired interior encourage you to taste the other specialities of their restaurant apart from the beer, rediscovering the regional cuisine. Otto says try their “ lublin pork knuckle in beer” and “ lublin pork loin“. The AMBER hall on the first floor offers soft sofas and cosy partitions. It is perfect for groups of friends or colleagues. The second floor is the LIGHT hall, designed for larger family celebrations or for business meetings and conferences.
Perłowa Pijalnia Piwa, BERNARDYńSKA 15A
Open: Daily 16:00 : 22.00
A gem on the map of beer in Lublin located right next to the old brewery. A very stylish bar with great beer for a very affordable price. The bar is a large oval (think "Cheers") that you can sit around, for newbies I can recommend the tasting board, where you receive a set of four different beer's. Its such a fab place to sit outside and have a drink in the sun. I would definitely recommend coming for a cheeky beer or three. Chef style gastro meals for student price's. Great friendly staff, and a cool vibe to the place. Perła – Browary Lubelskie S.A. is a Polish brewery. Founded in 1844 in the abandoned ruins of a monastery, in 1846 it began brewing a Helles-style beer using bottom fermenting technology. A second brewery opened in 1914. Both breweries were nationalized by the post-war Polish People's Republic.
Hotel Restauracja Browar Lwów, UL. BRONOWICKA 2
Open: Mon-Fri 12.00 -23.00, Sat-Sun 12.00-21.00
Brewpub located outside the old town with mediocre beer, besides the good Hefeweizen there is hardly anything interesting to drink? The food is excellent though, lovely Polish cuisine, coupled with a classy ambience in the restaurant (not so much in the patio/brewpub section) it is a welcome place for having dinner. Especially since prices are also reasonable.
Beer Geek, Choiny 33C
Open: Mon-Sat 11:00 - 00.00
Awesome bottle shop located on a busy road, you can't miss it as its built like a log cabin. A large range of Polish craft beers and a great selection of other European craft beers. They have 6 draft taps for bottle fill or drink in? Very friendly staff who know there stuff, well worth a visit.
Padbar, Grodzka 1
Open: Tues - Sun 16.00 to late?
Very nice restaurant with good ambient music and polite and welcoming staff. The food is delicious and amazingly prepared. They have decent craft beers on tap, worth a look for what you might like. You can play retro arcade games on large screens on Xbox PS4 Nintendo Wii and also some board games. Large rooms and and outside terrace well worth a look in.
U Fotografa - Craft Beer, Złota 2, 20-112 Lublin
Open: Daily 15.00 - 00.00
It is always a treat to have a place dedicate themselves to great beer. The selection rotates as they empty each keg so you have to catch your favourite one while you can. It is one of those pubs you walk into and immediately feel at ease. The atmosphere has a warm and relaxed vibe, the kind of place where you can sit down for one beer and end up staying for hours. It’s not overly loud, which makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a good conversation with friends while still having that lively pub energy in the background. The beer selection is impressive and clearly well thought out. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for a pub with great beer, a great vibe, and genuinely nice people behind the bar, U Fotografa is the spot, plus they do great burgers!
Just Crafted, Cicha 2
Open : Wed-Thurs 19.00 - 22.00 Fri-Sun 16.00 - 00.00
A fairly new craft beer and burger bar located in the city centre, close to the bus station. They have 12 beer taps and an uncountable amount of bottled beers. Looks like heaven for beer geeks:) The barman knows a lot about each beer and can speak Russian/Ukrainian/English. The interior has lots of modern bench type seating and cosy small rooms, overall a great new addition to the beer scene in the city.
Alan Hugs, Narutowicza 9, Lublin, Poland
This place has two sections. A “fine dining” restaurant upstairs and a casual pub/bar like restaurant downstairs. Downstairs is cosy and decorated a creative way. The waiters speak English, they service is quick and friendly. They brew five beers at the moment and are very quaffable.
Browar Restauracja Grodzka 15, UL. GRODZKA 15
{closed Temporarily but due to open early 2026?}
Conveniently located in the old town of Lublin, with multiple levels and terrace with nice views, with a classy looking restaurant at ground level and a brewpub downstairs. Initially this place looks promising? The food itself is not bad, but that cannot be said about their beer! But that said things could of improved as its been brewing now for quite a few years, why not try it and make your own mind up, then let me know.
Św. Michał - pub regionalny, Grodzka 16
{closed Temporarily but due to open early 2026?}
This is a really cool location in the middle of the old Town. There is even a small garden in the back where you can enjoy good food and drinks also in the sunny weather. Right after you leave the restaurant, are the remains, fragments of the foundations of the no longer existing church of Saint Michael, how good that this name is still present, and that the restaurant is only 20 steps away from these foundations. The logo has two pigs as bright as...... The wooden entrance, made of dark wood, leads to the picturesque, traditional local bar, it is very classic, regional, so the name is appropriate for the interior design. There are 31 beers on tap plus Lublin cider. But only two beers from St. Michael. Highly recommend if your intention is to try local food. Great service and friendly atmosphere will make you feel like home, wherever you come from. Make sure you try local beers, Lublin is famous for its breweries!
I hope you found my guide to the brewpubs and bars in Lublin useful?
Now you just need to get yourself out there and start the beer adventure for yourself!
Go grab a locally brewed pint (or 2) and support your local pub's and brewers!

Dziki Wschód, Jasna 7
Dziki Wschód is a brewpub in the centre of Lublin and a perfect place for spending time with friends—drinking good craft beer and eating delicious pizza. Here you will find 12 taps with regional and craft beer, more than 40 kinds of bottled beer, as well as good whiskey, wine, and drinks.
The only thing better than cold beer is beer paired with good food, so you can also order our delicious thin-crust pizza and crunchy bruschetta. Dziki Wschód is a family brewery established by two brothers. The idea at the very heart of the brewery is that beer must always be good and never boring. In the pub you can try Dziki Wschód’s original beers brewed with quinoa seeds, coffee, orange, vanilla and other surprising additives.
